Dr. Mark WertzAs a chiropractic physician, Dr. Wertz specializes in treating many types of neuromusculoskeletal pain including: ankle sprains, arthritis, asthma, auto accidents, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic fatigue, disc injuries: bulging & herniated discs (aka "slipped" disc), headaches & migraines, hip pain, knee pain, low back pain, low back pain with leg symptoms, mid back pain, muscular pain, neck pain & whiplash with or without arm symptoms, pinched nerve, plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain & rotator cuff injuries, sports injuries, tendinitis, tennis elbow, and work-related injuries.

Dr. Mark Wertz grew up outside of Homer, IL and moved to St. Joseph, IL before his freshman year in High-School.  Dr. Wertz attended Illinois State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science.  He then went on to Logan College of Chiropractic where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences, a Master of Science degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation, and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.  After graduating he moved back to Champaign to be close to his family.  Dr. Wertz completed an internship at Personal Performance: Training and Rehabilitation before working as an associate Chiropractor in Champaign for 2 years.

In his spare time Dr. Wertz likes spending time with his wife and family, working out, running, playing sports, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.

He also has advanced specializations in Upper and Lower Extremity Injuries and Rehabilitation, Gait Analysis, Muscle Imbalances, Core Training, Sports Injuries, and Injury Prevention.
